Effective Date: 24/05/2025
At UOM Global ("UOM", "we", "us", or "our"), we are committed to providing transparent and high-quality advisory services. This Refund Policy outlines the specific conditions under which clients may be eligible for a refund in relation to payments made for our U.S. immigration consulting services.
1. General Policy
All payments made to UOM are considered final and non-refundable, except in the limited circumstances expressly stated in this Policy. Due to the personalized nature of immigration advisory services - where work often begins immediately upon engagement, and outcomes are determined by third-party government agencies—refunds are issued only under exceptional conditions.
2. Refund Eligibility
Clients may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the following circumstances:
- Service Not Yet Commenced
A written cancellation request is received before any substantive work has begun (e.g., no consultation, file setup, or documentation review has taken place). - Duplicate or Erroneous Payment
A payment was processed twice or submitted in error, and the overpayment can be verified by our finance team. - Service Unavailable Due to Internal Reasons
UOM is unable to deliver the agreed-upon services due to internal operational issues not related to client eligibility or cooperation.
⚠️ Refunds are not granted in cases of dissatisfaction due to visa denial, USCIS delays, government decisions, or incomplete applications resulting from client inaction.
3. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, clients must:
- Send a written request to [email protected]
- Include the following information:
- Full name and contact details
- Invoice number and payment method
- Reason for the refund request
- Any relevant supporting documentation
Requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days from the date of payment. If approved, refunds will be processed within 30 business days to the original payment method.
4. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will not be granted in the following situations:
- Services have already commenced (including consultations, case preparation, attorney coordination, or administrative setup)
- Denial of visa, RFE (Request for Evidence), or delays initiated by immigration authorities
- Failure to provide required documents or lack of response from the client
- Change of mind after service has begun
- Breach of UOM’s Terms of Service or any suspected fraudulent activity
- Government filing fees or payments made to third-party vendors (e.g., legal partners, translators, or official government portals)
5. Chargeback Policy
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your financial institution before contacting UOM will be considered a violation of our Terms of Service. In such cases, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or terminate all related services
- Report the dispute to relevant authorities or platforms
- Seek reimbursement for dispute-related costs and damages
